I got 99 problems but my dress ain’t one

Kjærlighet / Reise / Review / The University of Bath / Vennskap / July 26, 2015

There is always that one problem that is not really a problem, but rather a sign you have too little problems. Not having a new dress for every single event is one of those ‘problems’. I want to blame it on the nature of being female, but I guess it is rather the nature of being spoilt. I have always loved dressing up, and I can still remember my naughty adventures in my grandmother’s jewelry drawer or in my mum’s makeup bag from the age of 3. As the little redheaded girl grew up she started collecting her own treasures, though, her pocket or the space of her ‘chamber’ did eventually stop this enjoyment. I’m just like a dragon; I’ll sleep on top of my gold, and even though I no longer have space to spread my wings I still can’t part with any of my treasures. The dragon sickness is within most girls, especially in the wedding season (which is practically all year around). Who doesn’t want to feel good about themselves? Unfortunately, is getting a new dress an easy short cut to this, even though it might be considered as superficial. This summer I was lucky enough to get hold of something that could be the cure for my girly greed. How nice wouldn’t it be to have 100 dresses in one dress? Actually this problem solver has more than 100 dresses in it, and it doesn’t only save me money but it also is a great space saver when travelling. Even though I would love to wear a new dress every single day on my backpacking trips, this would just not be feasible. Thank you so much, BLCouture, this is probably the best (and definitely most practical) blog gift I have ever received! To my male followers, I’m so sorry for making this post very… girly, though, I actually think you guys can get something out of this too (Your dear babe might want something nice, Wink-wink). There is endless ways of wrapping the dress into a new dress, and if you already have a dress like this I would love to see how you work the magic. So just to give you guys the idea of how I work the ‘multi wrap infinity wear convertible dress’:

Anyways, enough of my girly dragon talk. Here are a few photos from my friends’ lovely wedding (where I got to ‘test’ one of my new dragon costumes from BLCouture). To sum up a rather long depiction of my envy for this absolutely stunning wedding: Perfection! After the wedding was over some of our friends just looked at Toby and I, and said “Good luck with topping that!”. I am so grateful that I got to celebrate and witness the love between these two. I wish you all the best in the future, and one day I hope to invite you two to my own wedding.

Best Regards
Renate

“We’re all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness – and call it love – true love”
